Privacy Policy

How Coinwave collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use our website and services.

This Privacy Policy describes how Coinwave ("Coinwave", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses and safeguards information about you when you access or use the website at coinwave.gg, the Coinwave application and any related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

We collect information that you provide to us directly, information collected automatically when you use the Services, and information we receive from third parties.

Account information
Identifiers you provide when you create or access an account, such as your email address, third-party account identifiers (for example, Discord or Telegram), usernames, display names and profile images.
Wallet information
Public wallet addresses, balances, transaction history and related on-chain data associated with wallets you create, import or connect to the Services.
Security and authentication
Information used to secure and verify access to your account, such as passkey credentials (the public key and related metadata; the private key never leaves your device), device identifiers, session tokens, sign-in history, two-factor authentication settings, wallets linked for verification, and security logs. We use this information to authenticate you, recognise trusted devices, and detect and prevent unauthorised access.
Usage information
Information about how you interact with the Services, including features used, pages viewed, settings, preferences and actions taken.
Device and technical information
IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, device identifiers, time zone, language settings, referring URLs, crash reports and other diagnostic data.
Communications
Information you provide when you contact us, respond to surveys or otherwise communicate with us.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain and improve the Services;
  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
  • Process transactions and execute the actions you request;
  • Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents and other harmful or unlawful activity;
  • Communicate with you about the Services, including updates, security alerts and support messages;
  • Analyse usage trends and measure the performance of the Services;
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations and legal processes, including sanctions laws, which may involve using your IP address or other information to determine your location; and
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and protect the rights, property and safety of Coinwave, our users and others.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

Service providers
With vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, infrastructure, email delivery, blockchain data, analytics and error monitoring, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
Blockchain networks
Transactions you submit are broadcast to public blockchain networks and are visible to anyone. This information is outside our control once submitted.
Legal compliance
Where we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Coinwave, our users or the public.
Business transfers
In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, sale of assets or similar transaction, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
With your consent
With your consent or at your direction.

When you create or import a wallet in the Services, Coinwave stores the wallet's private key in encrypted form on our systems. Access to keys is restricted, and keys are used only to sign the transactions and perform the actions you request through the Services. We do not use your keys to move your assets except at your direction or where required by law. You can export a wallet's private key at any time and use it to control that wallet independently of Coinwave. Once exported, you are solely responsible for keeping it secure.

Blockchain networks are public, decentralised and immutable. Information recorded on a blockchain, including wallet addresses and transaction details, cannot be altered or deleted by Coinwave or anyone else. You should consider this before conducting any transaction.

We use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect the functionality of the Services.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. However, no system, network or method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we cannot and do not guarantee its security, and you provide information and use the Services at your own risk. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and any private keys you export.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it in accordance with our retention practices.

You may update your account information at any time through the Services. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and we will consider and respond to your request as required by applicable U.S. law. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we may retain certain information where necessary for security, legal or legitimate business purposes. Information recorded on a blockchain cannot be deleted.

Coinwave is based in the United States, and the Services are operated from and intended for users in the United States. Your information is stored and processed in the United States and is handled in accordance with U.S. law.

If you access the Services from outside the United States, including from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you do so on your own initiative and at your own risk. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from, and may be less protective than, those of your country. Coinwave does not make any commitments under the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation or any other non-U.S. data protection law, except to the extent such laws mandatorily apply to us.

Coinwave does not sell personal information, and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give rise to a right to limit its use. Residents of states with applicable privacy laws may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information by contacting us at support@coinwave.gg. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any rights available to you under applicable law.

The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child, we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through the Services. Your continued use of the Services after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
